MORGADO

10/15 minutes drive from villa going North West.

A fairly new course which opened in 2007/2008, lying North of Portimao.  It is laid out in a large 980 hectare estate through undulating small valleys.

SALGADOS GOLF CLUB

10 minute drive from villa going East.

An 18 hole, par 72 - 6,080 metres and located just 6 kilometres from Armacao. Opened in September 1994.

An 18 hole course where there are five link holes strategically constructed on the first nine and after these the course takes you up high hills and deep valleys.

Two 18 hole courses: Quinta do Lago par72 - 6,488 metres, surrounded by pine trees with views over Ria Formosa and the ocean; Ria Formosa, par 72 - 6,025 metres surrounded by pine trees overlooking the mountains.

PINHAL COURSE

18 hole, par 72 - 6,256 metres.  The first nine holes wind through umbrella pines while the back nine climb gently towards the clubhouse on open land with magnificent sea views.

LAGUNA COURSE

This 18 hole parkland course was opened in early 1990.  Designed by American Joseph Lee who has made great use of a high water table and introduced water hazards on 11 holes, with heavy bunkering around the greens. Precise and accurate iron play is necessary for a good score.

ALTO GOLF CLUBE

The last course designed by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton. 18 hole par 72 - 6,125 metres includes the longest par 5 in Portugal - 604 metres. Set near the coast, close to sandstone cliffs with stunning views of the Monchique Mountains.
