ROCHA DE PALYA 
Luis has run this very busy open beachbar restaurant for many years. Located
near the red house towards the old part of town, it offers good quality food at very reasonable prices.  You will need to be early to ensure a table of your choice. All outdoor tables with aluminium wind breaks.

O SEROL               
A few doors down from Hera and overlooking the sea, this restaurant is very
popular with the local villagers.  Traditional Portuguese food with daily specials menu, friendly service and always very busy.  Mainly indoor with a few tables available outside during the peak season.  Open all year. Tel no: 312412

CLIPPER.              
Located on the sea front in Armacao de Pera.  Offering an excellent fish and meat menu and an extensive dessert menu.  The restaurant also offers exterior dining for the warmer months.  Only necessary to book during August.
               
There are many restaurants in the town providing good food and service, a few English owned and also the town has a pizza house, a chicken takeaway, a Chinese and two Italian restaurants.  Many more are listed in our folder at the villa.

O’LEAO DE PORCHES          
A beautiful converted 17th century farmhouse in the centre of porches. Mixed European menu and interesting wine list. Cosy atmosphere, ideal for the special occasion.  Tel no: 282 381384.

PORCHES VELHO  
Situated in the centre of the village, this converted winery offers traditional Portuguese food, good wines and excellent service.  Tables are also available on an upper exterior terrace providing lovely views of the Monchique hills.  Fado music on Fridays & Saturdays. MR GRILLO

O ALAMBIQUE    
Located near the train station at Poco Barreto on the road leading from Silves to Algoz. Marlen Schmid the Chef/Proprietor offers a menu with a difference.  Nice atmosphere and food excellent. RUI’S                   
Seafood at it’s best.  This splendid restaurant offers an outstanding choice of fresh shellfish, a superb selection of Lobster and Crab, and the speciality is a remarkably good fish rice. BENAGIL

O LITORAL     
A first class restaurant situated on the east hill as you approach the small fishing cove.  The owners Geraldo and his wife Maria have had the restaurant for twelve years, previously working in Switzerland for 22 years, they speak excellent English and Maria ‘s speciality is a wonderful Squid Stew.
