Armacao de Pera is renowned for its 2 mile long sandy beach which offers a host of water sports, including wind surfing, jet ski's, pedaloes, banana boats and paragliding. There are numerous shops, restaurants, bars and beach bars along the palm tree promenade of Armacao. Other local sports activities include Tennis Courts, Golf Clubs, Sailing Clubs and boat hire to visit the 'sardine' caves. The quaint village of Porches is also close by and is renowned for its 3 famous restaurants.
